Gift Ideas for Disc Golfers
Shopping for a disc golfer? Whether they're a complete beginner or a tournament regular, there's a perfect gift at every price point. Here's what disc golfers actually want — not what marketers think they want.
Under $15
- A premium putting putter. Every player can use another putter for practice. The Innova Aviar in Champion plastic or Discraft Luna in Jawbreaker plastic are safe bets at $12-14.
- A disc golf towel. Microfiber towels with a clip attachment are genuinely useful and always appreciated. $8-12.
- A mini marker disc. Custom or branded minis make great stocking stuffers. $3-8.
$15 to $50
- A 3-disc starter set. Perfect for someone curious about trying the sport. Innova, Discraft, and Dynamic Discs all make quality starter sets for $25-40.
- A birdie bag or grip enhancer. Helps with grip in all weather conditions. $15-20.
- A disc retriever. A collapsible pole for fishing discs out of water. The Kwik-Stik is the most popular at $15-25.
- Gift card to a disc golf retailer. Infinite Discs, OTB Discs, or Marshall Street. Let them pick their own discs. Any amount.
$50 to $100
- A quality disc golf bag. The Innova Adventure Pack or DD Trooper Backpack are excellent mid-range bags at $40-60.
- A premium disc. Ask what mold they throw and buy it in premium plastic. A Tour Series or signature disc from their favorite pro player is a thoughtful touch. $18-30.
- An LED glow set. A UV flashlight plus LED disc lights for night rounds. $30-50.
$100 to $200
- A premium disc golf bag. Pound, Grip, or Upper Park bags are the gold standard. $130-200.
- A practice basket. A portable basket for backyard putting practice. The MVP Black Hole is the most popular at $120-150.
- A UDisc premium subscription + new discs. UDisc premium ($20/year) plus a curated set of 3-5 discs matching their skill level. $80-120 total.
What NOT to Buy
Avoid buying random discs without knowing what the player throws. Disc golfers are particular about their equipment — the wrong speed, stability, or plastic type means the disc sits unused. When in doubt, give a gift card and let them choose. Also avoid novelty items like disc golf-themed ties, mugs, and keychains unless you know the person's humor well.
