Disc golf at elevation is a different sport. The thin mountain air means discs fly 10 to 15 percent farther than at sea level, fundamentally changing club selection and strategy. The Mountain West's courses are set against some of the most dramatic scenery in America — Rocky Mountain peaks, red rock canyons, alpine meadows, and high desert plateaus.

Where to Play

Colorado leads the region with Denver's deep course selection and mountain courses scattered throughout the Front Range and beyond. Utah offers red rock desert courses in Moab alongside Wasatch Front mountain tracks near Salt Lake City. Montana's Missoula and Bozeman scenes are growing rapidly, and Wyoming's Jackson Hole has courses surrounded by the Tetons.
