Free disc golf calculators
Every tool here runs in your browser, needs no signup, and works on mobile. Each one exists because it answers a question that comes up constantly and that no free tool answered clearly.

How accurate are these?
The rating and handicap tools use the relationship the PDGA publishes in its Ratings System Guide: round rating equals 1000 plus the difference between SSA and your score, multiplied by a points-per-throw value that depends on the course's SSA. The exact official formula includes propagator distribution and conditions adjustments that are not public, so these produce close estimates rather than official figures.
The flight, disc selection, and wind tools use simplified models calibrated to widely accepted community heuristics: max distance divided by roughly 30 for arm speed, and about one flight-number point of stability change per 12 mph of wind. They are built to explain relationships and give you a starting point, not to replace field work. Every tool page states its own limitations in full.
Where the data comes from
- PDGA Ratings System Guide for SSA, points per throw, propagator rules, and division rating bands.
- UDisc Growth Report for course and participation data.
- Manufacturer flight ratings from Innova, Discraft, MVP, Dynamic Discs, and Latitude 64 for every disc referenced.
- ThrowSpot's own course directory, covering 7,008 PDGA-registered courses across all 50 states.
If a tool gives you a result that does not match your experience on the course, trust the course. These are models. Field work is data.
